The Road To Hana (Maui 2)

Navigating the Road to Hana wasn’t as scary as I expected. We only  encountered two nerve wracking incidents in the 600 turns, 56 one lane bridges , 52 km-road in Maui. A highly recommended thing to see and do  while visiting the Hawaiian island. Just two scary experiences where we had to stop in the middle of the road and adjust our car with only a few inches allowance from the ravine on our side. I would do it again, though. Unforgettable memories include the beautiful black sand beach, chasing waterfalls, pizza and awesome free wifi at Hana Farms Roadside Stand and Restaurant; the amazing tropical foliage and beautfiul cloudy skies and overusing the  ‘shaka’ sign.

We had plenty of time to explore the attractions in Hana since we stayed for two days at the Wainapanapa State Park where the Black Beach is. We were able to book as early as three weeks but available slots were gone as soon as availability dates  were released.

In photos are Ching’s Pond, Ke’anae Arboretum, Waianapanapa State Beach, Pipiwai Trail, Twin Falls, Makahiku Falls, Waimoku Falls
